Happy Little Streak

Happy Little Streak

I woke up early this morning and did a little housekeeping on the blog. Fixed up some posts and decided to add some pictures to my post going forward.

Hell, I’ve got a ton of pictures and really, what the heck am I going to do with them.

I worked from home today. Jake wanted on the phones, getting names and setting up meetings.

Now I used to do phone sales a long time ago. And, I was good on the phone. I had it my sales down pat, but boy am I a little rusty. From the research to the actually making the call. I wish it was like riding a bike, but even if I were to ride a bike now, I feel like I would be little wobbly at first.

My goal was to get a meeting and well that didn’t happen until my last call of the day. I was glad to get something.

I did watch something today that gave me a little validation with what I’m doing with this blog. I was watching this one YouTuber (remember I binge YouTube now that I’m off TikTok), and the guy was talking about about sharing your journey in whatever form that may come.

Now, the big goal is create my own personal YouTube Channel and post consistently. I need to figure some stuff out before I get there. So for now, this blog/journal, or whatever is the smallest thing I can manage.

I ain’t gonna lie, fixing up this blog felt a little good, since I restarted this blog since January 31st. I have somewhat of streak going like Dean Wesley Smith. Of course, it would take years to even get to his streak.

Still, baby steps.

Re-watching the first season of Bosch again. I think this is my third time, but this time I’m not playing a game while watching it and since I can’t look at my phone I’m catching more of the story.

Anyways, I’m happy with the little streak I’ve got going.

BTW, Diego, if you’re reading this someday:

Earlier this evening, we figured out that you would rather be in your mother’s arms at times than mine. I’d hold you and you’d fuss, and stretch your little body. You’d grunt and grumble. Then, I’d get you near you mom and you’d stop fussing.

And then, when I handed you over to your mom, you’d give this pleasing little grin. Yeah, it was cute as hell, but still --

All I could think is, when you win at whatever you’re going to win in this life, you’re gonna say, “Hiya, mom.”
