Today I shot a soccer game. I knew two of the players. One was my son’s girlfriend. The other player is her friend that lives down the street.
My goal when shooting sports is to make the players look heroic. I usually refrain from posting shots that make players look bad.
My others secret motivation is “someday.” One day these athletes will have kids of their own, grandkids even. And they’ll have these photos. They’ll pull ‘em out in whatever device they look at photos in, hell, maybe they’ll print ‘em. And they’ll be able to show how fiercely they competed. Maybe tell a story or two.
And that will be something.
