Like I Was Saying….
While the wife and I were in El Paso, mom mentioned that the king-size bed she and dad share “saved their marriage.” I’d been trying to convince the wife to upgrade to a King size bed. We’re on Queen now. And well, we’ve outgrown it.
So we spent the day trying out beds. The weird part was laying on mattresses without bed coverings. You try not to think of all those who have “test drove” those mattresses. At least in hotels, they switch out the bedding.
I did stop by the local park and took some shots today. It was mid-afternoon, and the sunlight was pretty harsh. I did find this little trickling stream and tried working with my shutter speed. I’m still working on manual mode. (Thank you, Sean Tucker.) I did get some smooth shots. Was it called Angel's hair? I forget.
There are still shots I’m missing. Right now, a Category 1 Hurricane is hitting South Texas, so we’re seeing some weather here. The thing is, the clouds are dark and billowy. Still, this one shot, I noticed I wished I had pulled over and taken. This " farmhouse " is in this field, and the orange light was hitting it just right.
While going to our last “test lay,” The Wife noticed a rainbow in the sky. I pulled over into a parking lot and took a couple of shots. One turned out.
